Accessibility Service Disclosure

Ai VoiceRing uses Android's Accessibility Service API. Android requires apps that use this API to explain clearly what it is used for. This page is that explanation, in full — the same one shown inside the app before you enable the permission.

In one sentence: VoiceRing uses the Accessibility Service to notice when your keyboard is open and to place the message you spoke into the text box you chose — and for nothing else.

What the Accessibility Service is used for

VoiceRing is not a keyboard. To put text into another app's input box, Android provides exactly one supported mechanism for an app like ours: the Accessibility Service. VoiceRing uses it to do three things, and only these three:

Detect when a keyboard is open. This is how the floating ring knows when to appear and when to go away. VoiceRing watches for window changes that indicate an input method (keyboard) is on screen.
Find the text box you are typing in. When your message is ready, VoiceRing locates the currently focused, editable input field so it knows where the text should go.
Insert your message. VoiceRing places the words you spoke into that field — using Android's standard paste or set-text actions. You then review the text and press send yourself. VoiceRing never sends anything on your behalf.

What it is never used for

VoiceRing does not read, collect, store, or transmit the content of your screen or of other apps.
It does not log keystrokes, read your conversations, or capture passwords or payment details.
It does not monitor which apps you use, browse, or install.
It does not act while idle. Between your recordings, the service does nothing except watch for the keyboard opening or closing.
It does not perform any tap, scroll, navigation, or send action on your behalf.

The other permissions, for completeness

Permission	Why VoiceRing asks for it
Microphone	To hear you — recording starts only when you tap the ring and stops when you tap it again. Never in the background.
Display over other apps	So the floating ring can appear next to your keyboard inside other apps.
Notifications	Android requires a visible notification while the microphone is recording, so you always know when it is on.

Turning it off

You can disable the Accessibility Service at any time from Android Settings → Accessibility → Ai VoiceRing, or switch the whole app off from its home screen. With the service disabled, the ring will not appear and VoiceRing cannot type anything. The rest of your phone is unaffected.
