Quick fixes for common problems
The ring doesn't appear
- Open the Ai VoiceRing app and check the switch at the top says Active. If it's off, turn it on.
- Check all three permissions on the home screen show ✓. The most commonly missing one is Accessibility — some phones switch it off after an app update or a battery "optimisation".
- If everything shows ✓ and the ring still doesn't appear, toggle the master switch off and on. That restarts the service without reinstalling anything.
It typed nothing / said "Didn't catch that"
Usually this means the recording was very short, very quiet, or drowned by background noise. Hold the phone normally, speak a full sentence, then tap the ring again to finish. A stable internet connection is required.
The text went to the clipboard instead of the box
A few apps refuse outside text insertion. VoiceRing always copies your message to the clipboard as a backstop — long-press the text box and choose Paste.
Wrong output language
Open the app and check the "Type my messages in" setting — every message follows that choice. If it's set correctly and the output is still wrong, that's a bug we want to hear about: email us the sentence you spoke and what came out.
